About Dow Baseball

What is Dow Baseball? A little glimpse at College Ball, a commitment to yourself to be “The Best You Can Be.” Dow Baseball is not for everyone: commitment to the Club in August, playing Fall Ball in September and October, turning out once each week January thru April, sandwiched around your football, basketball, school baseball, studies, family and church obligations...then playing over 5 games per week, traveling to Canada, Toppenish, Georgia, California, Texas, Wisconsin or Oklahoma and all points in-between, playing 8 or 9 tournaments until the middle of August. A commitment to learning that it’s not just getting the out that is important, but how you get the out!

It’s learning that Baseball is like Life; commitment, dedication, hard work, sacrifice, team work, responsibility, loyalty, your word is your bond, the “Dow Talk”, a tough coach and then finding out there is another player who for this one year this one season is bigger, faster, stronger, and having a better year than you. You must still give it everything you’ve got, make a contribution, and honor your commitment.

It’s parents working in the concession stand, preparing the field, working at the auction, raising money so their boy can play a game, it’s a Family Commitment.

Everyone tops out: When you play for Dow our goal is to make you last longer and to insure that when you’re 40 and look back, you’ll say, “I GAVE IT MY BEST SHOT WHEN I PLAYED FOR DOW”.

DOW BASEBALL is a place where every Club has some claim to fame, every Club set some records, every Club can argue we were the best...weren’t we...Coach?

You will be judged while you’re with Dow Baseball, as well as in life, on how good your word is, and the worth of your handshake. Honor your commitment and we will remember you forever.

Honoring your commitment, your word meaning something, your handshake being your bond...this is what Dow Baseball is all about. Learning baseball, playing at a high level, having fun and playing a great game are the benefits of Dow Baseball.
