In the 28-year history of Dow Baseball Club, only two jersey numbers have been retired...
The dedication of these two young boys, who each gave three years of service, and showed their coaches, the parents and players what true commitment is all about. They didn’t get to run the bases or hit a ball and they never pitched a pitch or caught a fly ball. They picked up bats and helmets with no notoriety, no mention in the paper, no kudos and after they had already played a game on their Little League Team. |
| Ryan Roberson (1986 - 1988) |

Jersey No. 00 was retired in 1988 after three years as the Club Batboy. Ryan started the year that Dow took down the Kirkland Pepsi “Boys of Summer,” the Little League World Series Champions. Ryan’s first plane ride was to the Mickey Mantle Regional in California and he set the standard for a true Batboy, a tireless unselfish worker for 164 games and 19 tournaments. In 1991 & 1992 Ryan returned to Dow Baseball as outstanding a player as he was a batboy, and even he didn’t wear Jersey 00. |

| Ryan Focht (1994 - 1996) |

Jersey No. 23 was retired in 1996 also after three years as the Club Batboy. Through nearly 230 games, 28 tournaments. Ryan was the hard working guy for Dow Baseball. Ryan missed fewer games than some players and when he wasn’t there we lost bats, had to run them down, had them all over the field, it was a mess. Yet when he was in the dugout he did his job so quietly that you didn't even notice he was there but Ohh!, did you miss him when he wasn’t. A special young man who returned in 1999 with the Dow 15’s and “In the Year 2000” Ryan wore this number as a player for Dow 16’s and ended the year assisting the Dow team to USSSA World Series Championship in Oklahoma City. Ryan was further rewarded as an All-World Tournament Player and wasn’t done yet. Ryan has moved on to getting an education at BCC. |
